Hello, is there anyone who recently did the medical exam?

I sent my application in August 2011, but I got an email in November 2012 requesting a new medical exam cause the old one expired.

I got my AIP in June 2012, and re-did a new medical exam on November 30th, 2012.

However, a call centre agent just told me that they have not received the result of the new medical exam.

Just wondering if anyone here recently did a medical exam in the past 2-3 months and haven't got a update on e-cas?

How long does it usually take for the medical exam to be received?
Thanks

Hi!

We had to re-do medical as well and is was done just prior Holidays in December. We call and we have been inform that a letter was sent as kindly reminder bcs they did not received the medical. We have confirmed with the clinic and it was electronically submited on January 8.

Note that since November 1st, the medical file isnow sent electronically to Vegreville (no paper work). It is called eMedical.

Please double check with the doctor that your file has been submitted electronically as per the new requirements.

I think many would agree that it is not just the waiting that is stressful. It is the lack of communication which makes wonder whether your file has fallen under the desk.

The immigration fairy, swoops down and gives you AIP and a work permit, asks for an additional medical exam. You are joyful! You scurry to get in the exam and then, silence, and some more silence. You scan the skys for signs of the immigration fairy...

So, I'd like to work on suggestions on how to increase communication.
What if they sent an e-mail update on BF date? It could even be some what automated. We're waiting for ..... You're next BF date is.... Then maybe the call center would have a lot less traffic from stressed out immigrants. It could be argued that this would slow down work, but if the officer is looking at the file anyway, it would take 1 minute to send off an little e-mail.
Any other ideas? Comments?

Or what if E-cas didn't have to be separately updated, as appears to be the case. What if e-cas tracked every bit of progress in the case without the VO or someone having to enter the status, waisting precious time.

I believe my doctor didn't use the new forms on my medical exam conducted on November 30, 2012, but when I talked to a call centre agent today, he told me that it is not gonna be an issue.

Just waiting for them to be processed in Ottawa now... It's been exactly two months since my new medical exam.

Hey Guys,

Has anyone gotten their PR Card that landed around middle of November? I am curious because I have waited past the processing time but still haven't gotten mine. Any suggestions? Also can I travel within Canada without the PR Card?

Thanks!

Actually it is not a PR interview, it is a Landing interview that comes after decison made on PR.
A letter or email informing decision has been made and that local office will contact you will be sent.
The local office will send you a letter for your landing appointment.
At the landing appointment you have to answer very simple questions (not really an interview) you will get your confirmation of Permanence Residence (COPR) and your PR card will be sent through mail after that...(expect min 6 to 8 weeks). We landed on Nov 27th and we still wait that damn card... ::)
