I really appreciate you taking the time to look this up....

They received my application in Nov 2011

RCMP fingerprints were requested 3 months after the application was received. Around march the CIC sent me a client update form to fill. I received my CSQ in May.

AIP was received in Sep 2012. The Aip letter asked me to submit police certificates from my native country and medical tests. I sent everything in on the 4th of October. In mid October CIC sent me a letter informing me of the transfer to the local office. Towards the end of October my Ecas updated to "Medical results have been received"....

To answer your question, yes, we requested the notes on the 15th of NOV 2012. Still havent received them

Thank you everyone!!! We are extremely happy and we spent the last 3 hrs just hugging and kissing each other :)
We were both losing hope and we really needed good news!!! Now I just hope CIC wont take forever to process my step 2 they already have my medicals (which I know I passed) and my criminal certificates.

Fingers crossed!!!
Good Luck all!!!

Criminality = RCMP
Security = CSIS

Security checks relate to things that don't show up in a criminality check. Like if you are a spy, or have been involved in war crimes, genocide, or organized criminal activity, none of which are likely to show up on a standard police report.

It is normal for the ATIP office to redact most of the information about security checks. From the sounds of it, there is something that has triggered greater digging into your case, since you have multiple security entries.

From what I have seen, it seems to be fairly common for CIC to get hung up on security checks. They will blame CSIS (the organization that does security checks) and CSIS will tell you they're done... CIC has lost a number of court cases with exactly this issue - CIC blames CSIS and the Court says "doesn't matter, CIC is still responsible."

You may wish to submit an ATIP request to CSIS.
Hello Computergeek,
I have ordered my FOSS notes on monday, hoping to hear from them shortly.
According to your comment above, I would like to ask you one question: how can one submit an ATIP request to CSIS?
Thank you for your help.

Thank you love! We cannot still believe it, it seems too wonderful to be true lol
Now I really hope step 2 will go smoothly, I hope they dont require me any fingers prints or anything that can further delay my process.

I know I passed the medical check cos the agent told me and on my police certificates is written in bold "NOTHING"...so come on CIC/Santa...can I have step 2 as xmas present? :)

Happy to be finally in the step 2 club! :)

There is a link on the CSIS website (main page, left column, lower corner).
