Hello Everyone.. UPDATE ON THE LETTER WE RECEIVED

although the message on e-cas made us think we had been approved both stages at once, we were wrong, looks like we only got approved first stage.. i (sponsor) got a letter saying I've met the requirements to sponsor, and my husband got a letter saying he's met the requirements to be sponsored and can now apply for permanent resident status.. however , it says, a final decision will not be made until all remaining requirements for becoming a permanent resident have been met, like medical, security and background checks.. we had already submitted this info but i guess they want it again? they dont specify on the letter what steps to follow now.. so i will be calling to day to see if they can give me ore info as to what to do now... thats' all we got guys!

We called CIC this morning at 8 AM sharp, and the agent that answered did indeed confirm that both stages had been approved at the same time. We are ecstatic, to say the least, and extremely happy and thankful that we were blessed in such a way. (Getting both stages approved at once is, no doubt, serendipitous )

Also, and according to the same agent, my wife should be landing in Scarborough in the next couple of months or so.

Thanks everyone for your kind words, and we truly hope that you all may get some good news in the very near future.

Like Serendipity , Call CIC right away and check.. He got Landing interview letter 2 weeks after DM and AIP letters.

oh that's good to know missha! thanks for that info... in case you want to update your chart, i'm in vancouver, i'm the sponsor, from chile and my husband is from colombia... just in case you're adding the origin country to the chart... as soon as i have my break i will call them, unfortunately at work i can't call!!!

I'm ansious to hear... I don't know why everybody takes the date of the reception of application and not the "in-process" date... reception date is when they put the envelope in the mail room, "in-process" is when they open the envelope... to me, CIC is working on April's applications...

Oh God, I cant believe I will be the "next" ...

I am just waiting and checking and checking my ecase status. I am so nervous and getting the feeling like when in my school days,the exam results was announced and ure waiting for turn.. I know, It sounds ridiculous guyss..:-s


LastPass is a good feature on firefox, I dont have to add it client ID etc over and over again :-s
