under the 'permanent resident application" the status is DECISION MADE... and it says

'A decision has been made and you will be contacted.

We sent you a letter on February 12, 2012 to xxxx British Columbia, Canada, about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us. If we have sent the letter to the wrong address, please contact us.

I've waited a year already, i can wait another few days for the last letter!! LOL

Do we happen to know how many people from 2011 got first stage and second stage at the same time?

1) 6 months after sending the application is good. They take time to open additional documents.
2) Alot of discussion has occurred on this forum on redo medical all by yourself, whereas some has sent without asking by CIC in order to avoid any delays. Some were asked to redo medical later on and ended up on second stage. Some did not redo their medical and they still got approved. As it depends on Visa Officer to extend the validity of medical or not. CIC does not object on redo medical all by urself without asking them to so do and they got approved. It is upto your discretion to decide. Either way is fine.
Thank u Missha! Do you or any one have any idea whether cases with sponsors having high income (let's say higher tha the low income cut-off) have more chances getting both stages approved than cases with sponsors having income lower than LICO?

I am not so sure about it SMA.DE. But i know some who filed for his parents sponsership when he was meeting the minimum requirement in terms of income and he got his parents application approved.

You should be meeting requirements and be able to support your spouse. High or low doesnt matter.

This is in e-cast if my husband (sponsor) check in:

"We received your application to sponsor XY on February 24, 2011.

We started processing your application on February 12, 2012.

We sent you a letter on February 12, 2012 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us."

This, if I (sponsored)check in:

We received XY's application for permanent residence on February 24, 2011.

We started processing XY's application on March 25, 2011.

A decision has been made and XY will be contacted.

What does it mean?
First stage is nothing more, than sponsorship approval (My husband could be a sponsor, I am eligible to being sponsored) They started to process on Feb. 12, 2012 !!!!!!! and sent the letter on the same day..... What did they do in the last one year?! (I do not know)

So those, who check the e-cas, as sponsors (and approved) will read the first type of text.
Pls let me know is there anybody who checked e-cas as sponsored and have more than "A decision has been made and XY will be contacted."
(A decision has been made about sponsorship, not about permanent residency)

Asking the information about your files WILL NOT slow down the process. You have to send the letter to Ottawa....
That`s the way to know what is going on.(the only way, calling them is wasting their and your time.)

They seem to update in groups of two and three. I wonder if that is a single persons work for the week?
If so then there maybe only two people working on Inland forms this might explain why there are long delays
when it is holiday season.
Hi, Perk

OMG, good stuff here guys. I was so happy when I logged on and saw that half of the March folks are done. My tirn is coming soon and I cannot wait. We should be seeing a pretty good jump tomorrow. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First off, CONGRATULATIONS to el venezolano, liza-laziza, canadagirl85 and inlandme. I am so happy for you guys that you recievd your AIP. Don't forget to update us on the date that the letter was sent. I know missha put today's date but it would be nice to have official dates too as we know ecas takes a few days to upload.

kdmosco, did you get both stages approved?

Any news from mattman and akinmike?

I also wanted to comment on the discussion that has been going on lately about the country of origin. I really do not think that it is needed on our chart. The chart was created so people can see other people's timelines so they can get some sort of outlook as to how long they have to wait. I do not think that we need country of origin.

New up-date in E-cas:

"Medical results have been received."

This update absolutely funny. I send my medicals with my application, and it was made months before it (in 2011 December)
I am looking forward to knowing do I need to repeat it or not.

Hi, my ECAS update this morning to Decision Made:

We received your application for permanent residence on February 7, 2011.

We started processing your application on March 17, 2011.

A decision has been made and you will be contacted.

Medical results have been received.

We sent you a letter on February 20, 2012 to .... Ontario, Canada, about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us. If we have sent the letter to the wrong address, please contact us.

my medical results was sent with the application in Feb 2011, but my X-ray was sent later in july because i was pregnant and couldn't do the X-ray until after i gave birth.

Hello

When I got the extension of my visitor's visa for 15 months, I was asked to do medicals. Did anyone who applied for visa extension had to do their medicals again? Once I called CIC and they said they could look at those medicals for the PR application aswell.

My case is a little different because I was pregnant when I applied for PR, so I could not do the rx. but I was wondering if everybody else had to do medicals for the visa extension?

did you apply for a visa or a visitor record? i was pregnant when i applied to extend my visitor status, but it's not a visa, it's a piece of paper that says visitor record, and it's a legal document. i had to do medicals for the PR application, and they did all the other tests and asked me to go back a few months after i gave birth to do the X-ray. i almost forgot about it after, but the medical office called me to remind me. so i did not have to do medicals for visa extension and only for PR.
