Hello guys.


Its been a long long time since i last posted on this thread, but i have been reading everyday, like just watching without saying anything.

@ : misha, antago, angus and everybody else in this thread let me ask you, Do you guys want me to take over the inland 2011 chart??? I know misha already offer to take care of it and update it constantly but i was just seen everybody getting crazy about no one updating it and i just spent about 4.5 hours trying to UNDERSTAND what angus did with the google documents tool, and i finally got it ufffffff !!! (tired).

But it is up to misha who already decided to take over it before i did and to everybody else in this little big community (we are a big family) if you guys don't like it or don't want me to keep it just let me know and i wont continue it, no worries.

By the way, because i just figured google docs out and its 12:48 pm and i feel really tired, i just added the first 7 people on angus chart just to let you guys have an idea how would it look like, you know like a sample.

If you guys give me green light to continue and take over it, i will get it all compleated by December 15 2011 at night time and also i will promise i will update it and keep it running until the last person on the chart get the PR app. done no matter what, because i do believe our chart is the heart of our inland brotherhood.

well, i should go to bed :'(

This is so nice of you to do all that. Angus shared the Google doc with me, so I could edit and add people in it. Its pretty great as you save so much time. I have updated it last night, so there is no point doing the double work.

Hi professor,

I would probably wait until your file goes in to process before you call CIC to update your phone number.

As for the person that has passed and wrote the letter, "maybe call CIC and ask them what you should do. They may not even try to contact that person but just in case I would ask.

For you having to renew your status, I just have one question. Did you send in an OWP with your app? If you did then you do not need to extend your status. I called CIC on maybe 5 different occasions and they all confirmed that we did not need to extend. If you did not send in an OWP then you need to extend it. I cannot remember the reason why though. Maybe ask CIC that question as well.

I did send and OWP with my application so I guess I just have to wait until I hear back from the CIC for the approval, should I ALSO apply for an extension of my Visitor Record too? Seeing as my application arrived at the CIC the first week in October, I wont hear back from them for 10-11 months (is this correct? or is this how long the whole process takes?). Will they process the OWP with, before, or after the first stage of approval?

However from what I'm reading have some June/July 2011 applicants had the first stage of approval?

And from what I was told, it isn't wise nor recommended to leave the country during the processing of the PR application as there is no guarantee of re-entry - even with a Visitor Record.

Hello Angtao, I would like to make you a question, please.

Recently I sent to CIC some photos of my relationship as proof. I wrote on the envelope ''Please add to file Asap'' and ''Time sensitive'' (Plus my Id number, my husband's Id number, and both names).
Yesterday I checked Canada Post, and I saw CIC has already received my envelope, but I don't know if CIC is gonna open it sooner than regular process time. I'm worried because according to the new processing times CIC should giving me an answer by the end of February. And with the regular process (Mail room) it takes more than 4 months to add additional info.

Please, can you tell me how did you do the time you sent your additional proof? How can I know if they will add it sooner? Did you call CIC?, Did CIC put it in your E-cas? How much time did it take? Was this the correct form to add additional info quickly?

I don't know if I misread you somewhere. But according to the chart, the date your app was received was August 24.
So, August 31 above, you meant the date shipping courier confirmed to you that your file was at CIC office?
I don't think August 31 was the date CIC opened your file though, too fast. Correct me please!

I was just wondering how you logged into ecas ? Why I ask is, I can log in using my client ID , the usual , in process. But that's for my permanent residence. We have tried logging in with my husbands surname and receipt number to check his sponsorship application but we can't log in. He is sponsoring me

On October 31st I got an email that my application to sponsor so and so had been received by Vegreville on Aug 23 2011, the email included a UCI # and a file # - I log into ECAS using the UCI# they sent me in the email. They also told me to use these numbers if I ever wanted to correspond with them about the file. When I log in with my UCI# it says that "We have received your application to sponsor so and so on Aug 23 2011".

I have never had a UCI or client ID # before, this is my first time dealing with any immigration matter.

About 2 weeks after I sent my wife's application, I sent an application to extend her visit visa. When her visit visa extension was approved she got some document with a client ID # on it, - this is what she uses to log into ECAS with and it says that "We' have received your application for permanent residence on Aug 23 2011"

Maybe we should call CIC. As I said I can log in with my client ID number but that is just for my PR application.
My husband can't log in as my sponsor and he didnt receive any email with file number or UCI number.
We sent our application via UPS on June 6th.

I managed to contact the call centre last week, i was able to speak to a knowledgeable lady (IMO), i asked her why the process keeps on getting longer, she said that they just had a change in system in July which caused things to lag behind, but it has all been fixed now and we should see waiting times improving soon (which was true based on the update this week from CIC). I also asked her if there has been cases where some people gets approved early, she said it is always on a first come first serve regardless when they submitted the application, the only time that their processing gets faster is if they are caregivers and others in that same field.

I asked her about ECAS, why others will reflect when additional docs are received, while others wont show up anything, she said those who applied before July will have the old system is which all the updates will be reflected once they get AIP, while those afterwards, will have an update everytime CIC receives something or any other info, she said this is part of the new system.

I was asked to send a client history update back in July, i sent it right away around the 2nd week and it was attached to file Mid September, and that they have received my medicals as well from my doctor, she said they are now doing background check and assessing the sponsor.

I also asked her if it is possible for someone to be approved for both stage 1 and 2 at the same time, she said yes it is very possible, and it is especially true if you dont have any dependents in or out of Canada.

Hopefully we will get more good news real soon!!
