Hello
I sponsored my wife to come to Canada in May 2013. She did her medical from New Delhi on January 2, 2013. She received a letter from CIC and we are not sure why they are asking for this (especially the first point). A corresponding radiological report was not done on 2nd April as they are indicating. In fact the medical practitioner just gave my wife a receipt and we included that with the application. No other communication was done between the medical practioner and my wife about any further tests to be conducted in April. Does anyone know what this is all about? Please see the letter she received below:
Dear xxxxxx xxxxxxxxx
This is in reference to your application for a permanent resident visa application for Canada.
The results of your initial medical examinations did not establish that you meet the medical admissibility criteria of Canada's Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA). Further medical information is required before a decision can be reached.
- Chest x-ray image corresponding to the radiological report completed on 2ND APRIL 2013 is required.
- Consult chest specialist – Report must include history of TB Treatment and drug schedule used
- Sputum smears and TB cultures are required. Must be taken on three consecutive early mornings and incubated for 6 to 8 weeks (if cultures are positive, please provide Drug Susceptibility Testing results where available).
Take this letter to the Panel Physician for the medical examination(s) to be arranged.
If your original Panel Physician is not available, please follow this link for information to assist in locating a Panel Physician in your area: http://www.cic.gc.ca/dmp-md/medical.aspx.
You have 30 days from the date of this letter to comply with this request. Failure to do so may result in the closing of your Immigration medical file, and may result in the refusal of your visa application.
Please do not reply to this e-mail.
Thanks
