Information regarding chat logs

Hi Friends,
I'm applying for my wife under family class sponsorship program. I need to provide chat logs between me and my wife (whatsapp/viber..)
My question is: do I need to translate the logs in English? BTW, I'm copying the messages in text format? Is it a good idea to provide screen shots?

Do screenshots and yes, get them translated otherwise the IRCC officer have no idea the content of your chat to determine the genuineness of your relationship.

Yes you can print screen them. You dont have to get them translated but you can if you want. The only thing they checks are the dates if you have on going communication with your partner. They dont read chat logs. They only want the documents (marriage certificate, birth certificate, etc) translated if they are not in English.

Thank you guys for reply. Actually as per IMM 5533 E (document check list for spouse) you can submit maximum of 10 pages of such correspondences like chat logs/mails/letters - I'm not sure whether phone bills are also included in it ( anyway, I'll submit phone bills separately).

I was able to convert my facebook messenger app into PDF to print.

it was hard to pick 10 pages of over 1000 pages to show our relationship.

I picked one page from each month in 2016 to show continuous conversation.

We have dozens of pictures and were going to print and send them stapled together but I don't want to overload them with information..

They need no translation if the log timestamps are in English. The content is usually in an informal language and it is not a simple task to translate

The maximum is 20 photos with the new kit. The application guide also says not to use staples.

Why would they do that? If they have to enquire about your work or education, they would cross check with your employer or educational institution (mentioned in the Background Schedule A form)

there are a lot of spamer/scamer on social media. I never talk to strangers. I doubt that IRCC will do their investigation that way since there are many other proper route to get the information.
