So that means EES has a bad impact on international students like me who are aiming for pr, this made me tensed. :'(

I have reading about this impact on the Internet. IS It really difficult to get LMIA and after securing a job wont one be getting LMIA.

well as compared to earlier system express entry puts international students at a disadvantage. earlier PR was easy now its a game of luck . LMIA is a difficult process for employer and getting a positive LMIA is very difficult as ur job has to be very desired in canada...... u can read about LMIA on below link

Mead,thank you very much for your research, but i think for now every one knows about, how hard is it for STUDENTS since EE came into
the system. Its like you hit it a lot and raises a lot of alarm. lol

yes it takes a lot for people to understand real issues in canada when agents/consultants are showing them rosy dreams and promising them wonderland. Things r different here we r stuck even though I have a job and a masters degree still I am struggling to get PR.

If LMIA is required then irrespective of getting max points in other factors such as age, education, wrk exp doesn't matter right ?

An LMIA is not required. However it gets you 600 points and guarantees selection for PR. Other factors (such as age, education, etc.) do get you point - but not nearly as much as an LMIA.

like scylla as posted above LMIA is not required but if u have LMIA u get 600 points. so even if u have 100 other points ur total points become 700. in express entry we all r competing against each other who ever has more points gets the PR. so if without LMIA ur getting below 450 points chance of getting PR r very slim unless ur get LMIA. So before jumping into canada bandwagon do calculate ur points to get a rough idea and plan ahead.

Here are just a few pointers for international students who are aiming for canadian education and later canadian PR.
1. Try to get atleast 1 year skilled experience outside canada helps ur points for express entry. 0 experience in home country puts u behind on points for PR
2. Read about PNP of the province ur going too
3. Improve ur english . higher the english language skills better chances of PR
3. Aim for better education, example rather than PG diploma go for masters if u can, this will give u more points for PR
4. always go for a 3 year PGWP with new PR rules it will almost be impossible to get PR in 1 year unless u have a LMIA.
5. choose a skilled profession(NOC 0,A,B).
6. use the CRS calculator to find out where u stand with regards to PR http://www.canadavisa.com/comprehensive-ranking-score-calculator.html
450 and above points are better. below 450 u will have hard time getting PR under express entry.
7. If you can improve ur French it would help u for PR.
8 read about Express entry program http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/express/express-entry.asp

these are a few pointers other people may add more but without thinking above point do not just jump in for canadian education it has now become very difficult to get PR so plan ahead

Can this be work experience outside your field of study? Is it just for students coming here for Masters or work done before Bachelors count as well?

let me see if i can explain...i may be wrong.
so when u create EE profile u have to select a NOC code now assuming u will want to get max points u will select that job which matches that NOC code. so lets say u worked as computer science engineer in ur home country. then u came to canada studied computer science and got a job as computer science then u will use computer science NOC code. so u will want to claim points for experience in canada as well as ur home country as both are same NOC. now if u worked as a computer science in home country and studied in canada as an accountant and got a job as an accountant well now u have 2 NOC's to select. so in that case if u select accountant NOC u will not get points for computer science NOC and vice versa.... ru getting the point. I am assuming that ur study and ur job in canada will be in the same field so to answer ur question yes in that case u need outside experience same as ur study. I dont know if i answered it correctly.
work done anytime can count as long as its same NOC except during ur study in canada for CEC. its a little complex u need to follow express entry section of this forum to get better understanding

well it depends just experience is not a deciding factor . if ur english language score is low then also u may have problems best is u calculate ur rough scores using this calculator .
