Hello guys, is there anyone who can guide and help me as I'm interested into Master's of mechanical engineering at any university or college in Canada . I have Completed my b.tech (4 year degree in mechanical field ) under PTU India.in 2014 with 72% marks(76% in the last two years ) and my 10th and 12th grade marks are 85% and 76% respectively. I got 6.5 bands (L-7.5,R-7.0,S-6.0,W-6.0) in Ilets under idp. So am i eligible for this course ?
Also is their any scholarship available based on the needs or academic scores as I'm financially weak and can manage upto 15 lakh only so any college /university with affordable fees and like most of the people I want to settle their permanently and I'm thinking to apply for study in Alberta, i liked the immigration rules there. And my last question is are backlogs really creates any problem for visa purpose? I got total 10 backlogs from my first to fourth semester nd completed till 6th sem. and got no supply frm 5th to 8th sem. so should I try to apply for study in Canada ? my cousin went to New Zealand this year and struggling there due to unable to get part time job so I don't want to go there. I don't believe much on consultants so looking for advice from some experienced people on this Forum.btw Thanks in advance :)

hi,
1. you have to search for universities which offer Masters in ME in Canada. Engineering is not my field so i dnt have any idea regarding unviersities. Masters is only offered by universities however, post grad diplomas can also be availed at colleges. often times, colleges are cheaper than universities. though, there are cheap universities as well. you can google it. or just pick up each university from here and check their website.

2. if you want to stay there after study then, you will need a PGWP. and only those students can apply for PGWP who have not availed a financial assistance during their degree. for futher details see here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/work-postgrad-who.asp .

3. Alberta may not be the best bet if you want to stay see here. Saskatchewan, MB and BC are great as i have heard and read about them.

4. you can apply under spp if you are an Indian. it allows you to take loan and apply for visa.
please try to write in bullets because it makes the stuff more readable and also brings more answers.
