No I think they’re just being extra cautious like the UAE; if they wanted to make money, the status quo suited them better with the 2-day stopover .. such a bummerQatar wants to make some manneyyy....

Gosh. This is sad. What next?Sad news my friends.
Mexico and Maldives.Gosh. This is sad. What next?
What are the routes currently available?
But how can you get to Mexico without transiting through USA. You need USA visit visa (at least) for Indians in order to even transfer through. ESTA isn't available for IndiansMexico and Maldives.
Connecting flights from European countries. Two years back, I went to South America connecting flight via africa... I guess many optionsBut how can you get to Mexico without transiting through USA. Many options? I would love for you to suggest even a single viable option that gets from Delhi to Mexico without requiring an additional visa from another country (or a quarantine)Connecting flights from European countries. I really like your point. Good suggestion. One of the most sensible ones from this thread. I will mostly be going via Maldives , just to enjoy the paradise island. My suggestion to all is that guys if you can wait till 21-22 AUG before boarding your whatsoever indirect route flight you are having then it will be the most feasible option acc. to me as I am also in the same situation as all of you and also planning for indirect routes but just have patience don't throw your hard-earned money for this. There is news from some sources (don't ask me from where) that Canada will open direct route flights from 21st AUG or before that.
So just wait.
If you consider my reference :
1 . Book indirect flights for dates after 23rd AUG.
2. Must consider refundable flight tickets if you are booking.
3. Have patience and wait for the news.
If nothing + ve happens this month(AUG) then anyways from 7th Sept you can travel to Canada.
So that's it this is just my call for what I am planning and just a suggestion from my end, the rest of the decision is of individual concern.
This is a bit tricky but I suppose this should be allowed, considering there are similar transit pits specifically in many airports. Thats a good route, how many days do you plan to stay in Maldives? What if I have a layover of 18 hours in Doha. I will stay in lounge. I am planning route delhi Maldives , rtpcr in Maldives , then Maldives Doha , Doha to Paris and Paris to Toronto.
Nice Tell us everything ..Hey guys, I am currently in Mexico travelling to Canada. Feel free to ask any questions you might have.
