My sister has applied for a Visitor's Visa online on March 31st from India. Following this thread to keep a track of applicants who applied earlier.

My husband applied for visitor visa online, on April 11, 2017 at delhi.
Today we received a ghost email stating that the application has been updated. But on logging, I do not see any new messages or updates.
What does this mean?

Hi SGA - I got the same email on the next day and one more 2 days after, based on what I have gathered from internet and from other posts this just mean you file has been put in queue and now you will have to wait 18-22 days for it to be picked up for review and decision... so Good Luck, we all are on the same boat...

This ghost email means the visa office has done some internal processing on your husband's application

Paper based visitor visa applied for my parents on 24th March,2017 at Hyd VFS.. No update from CIC yet.. please help if we need to wait.. They have to be in canada by April 25th for our first home celebrations..

You'll have to wait for decisions. You have applied quite recently.

IRCC does not expedite visa processing based on family events/convocation dates/marriage anniversaries, etc

Applied on Visitor Visa for my parents March 28 and its at Bangalore Consulate. Very unfortunate that the Travel date is Apr 17 2017 to US and we are in a situation to change the tickets . It still says processing. No signs of approval any sooner. i have already sent the expedite email with travel tickets to the Delhi and Bangalore Consulates. No reply yet.

Does April 14 and April 25 holidays considered has processing days ?

Is it safe to change the ticket to Apr 26 to US? what is the possibility of the visa processed and passport returned by Apr 25 before the travel ?

Any experience on this would help

Yes April 14 is holiday - Good friday and April 17 is for easter Monday.
Don't think April 25 is statutory holiday

I have submitted Canada visitor visa online application from Ahmedabad, India. Below is my the flow:

16th March 2017 - Online Application Submitted
17th March 2017 - Application Received by CIC. No any Documents needed. Status is "In Progress".
18th March 2017 - Application Updated Mail but haven't found any Updates on Account

Then, No Any updates till date.

I also send CSE two times but haven't got any reply.

I have flight on 1st May, 2017 and also submitted flight ticket with Application.

What should I do now? Please help. I'm Frustrated.

You've sent two CSEs. There's nothing you can do but to wait patiently until you get a decision. It takes up to 30 days to get a reply to a CSE.

And, the often repeated advice: It's not a good idea to buy tickets before visas are issued

Thanks for reply. But they must need a flight ticket departing Canada. So, We have no option to avoid this. If we haven't buy ticket then Visa get refused saying "Purpose of travel" documents missing.

Please check application package once before advice to any one.

As you have said yourself, it's pretty evident that you are a very frustrated man. But hey, stop taking out your frustrations on others!

If you have not idea about this then please do not give false suggestion to any one.

As you have very little/zero knowledge about visas (and about TRVs, in particular), confirmed tickets are NOT required as 'Purpose of Travel' documents with the application.

I do not give false suggestions to anyone. I have helped countless people to get visas/visa-related matters. But, I do not need to prove anything to you
