I have applied for Indian PCC at SFO through the mail on June 5th. Still no status or response from them. 11th July is the last date for me to submit the PR application. Will it be possible to send the application without Indian PCC and send it later to the immigration authorities? or Can I request someone to provide more time so that I can get my PCC meanwhile?

Appriciate your help.

Why did you apply so late? If you submit without pcc onus is on you to prove that you applied well in time and along with all proofs. But here looks like you left it for very late. It may not work with IRCC. Better is to chase consulate to issue you one before 11 July
Otherwise how much is your score? If over 450 then you can decline ITA and get back in pool and apply once you get PCC.

It normally takes a month to get back the PCC from sfo. You might get it before your deadline, but no harm in having a backup plan.

Thanks guys!

I will wait till the last moment and just in case if I do not receive the PCC, I may have to decline the invite. (BTW, my CRS is at 449).

Hello, You will usually get your PCC from SFO consulate within 10 -15 days from the date you submit your application by mail. Please contact their customer service and check with them on the status of your application instead of waiting for it to be delivered. Also, once you get it delivered, take a scanned copy - color ( to capture the signature in green ) and upload it. I am not sure why we have to do it this way, but, the same has been recommended in a couple of other threads.

All the best with your application.

Cheers.

Replying second time today:

In exceptional circumstances, IRCC may accept both of the following:

  • proof of having requested a police certificate for some countries; and
  • an explanation of best efforts (not a guarantee of acceptance)
    • In this explanation, the applicant should explain the delay in a document and upload the document in the country-specific field. The uploaded document must show that the applicant requested a police certificate as soon as possible after receiving their invitation to apply.
In such exceptional cases, the client will be advised to upload a document into the upload field stating country-specific details that support their explanation of best efforts.

I tried contacting their customer service and they never answer their calls. Can you suggest any number or email that’s the best to reach out to them. Thank you in advance.

Hey Everyone, it may help if anyone comes back and reads this thread. I had gone to SF consulate on November 27, all the documents were correct for me. The cashier in the second counter said it may take 2 to 3 weeks let me check. She got some print out from the psk portal and attached to my documents. She said "oh yeah, don't worry, you will get in one week." I got it in 6 days. including all the thanksgiving holiday and weekend holiday.

my timeline:
Submitted doc: 27 Nov.
Got notification on 3 December for my tracking activation on my fedex return package:
Documentation shipped from consulate: December 2.
Got the document on December 3.

Only problem was the shipping label on the envelope I gave them. I had from address as consulate address and to address as my home address. She asked me to change the to address as well to my home address because as I paid through my credit card, it won't accept the initial zip code from somewhere else. The initial zip code should match the zip code to the zip code on my credit card. I asked if there is not gonna be any problem as the from address is different, she said no problem at all.

There wasn't any problem at all.
DM me if you have any questions.
