Thank you! You were right it did take a lot of time but I finally was able to collect it.
I will just list down the timeline for anyone who is applying for their surrender application.

20 April 2024 : Dropped application off at BLS Ottawa
10 June 2024 : Approved by HCI (but no status change online. This date is on the surrender certificate)
12 June 2024 : Noticed change in application status and pickup status was displayed on BLS website .

Hello. My application status on Passport website of the government shows "Surrender certificate has been printed." but BLS tracking shows "Processing at Consulate General". This has been the same for the past 4-5 days. Is this normal, or should I reach out to BLS and check the status over the phone?

Check with BLS as they should have picked it up by now.
