Indian passport surrender

My surrender application is under processing at consulate since 04-Oct (20 days now). Postal application to BLS.
Is this normal? I checked the passport india site as well - same status.
How much more time should I expect?

You are legend!!! Tell me how will they send you back the completed application? Have you included a return fees?

I just followed another person's strategy here. They did the same with OCI. So nothing great on my part. Also if you check BLS grievance page, there are options to add tracking number of many postal services like ups, USPS, Canada post etc.
I have included a CP Xpresspost return envelope with my application, so hopefully that should be okay.

Waiting to see how it works so that I can update all of you. Currently it is being processed at the consulate.

Another application from my family submitted on 15th is showing as "under processing at consulate", Could it be that my application's status is not updated correctly? Should I wait or reach out to BLS?

I just checked, it shows under processing. I think BLS's status is a farce.

It should get processed on passport site by next week. Looks like processing slowed down.

Yes, it looks slowed down after the Political battle between the 2 countries.

My SC application shows “Surrender Certificate has been printed.” for last 5 days.
Is that normal processing??

That's the last status on passport site. Now check on BLS site for courier details to be updated.

For employment related document, will only my job offer letter work?
Or should I also attach my last Paystub?

For some reason I can’t get a work verification letter from my boss correctly so.

Verification letter would be best to have but you can use job offer letter and write your own verification letter. Paystub is not needed.
