After some discussion the price came down to $79 for express. Still way too high for an envelope.Quoted $120 for pickup and dropoff
As per BLS website, dropoff only is $20 and pickupand drop is $35? Or am I mistaken?
The question is, is BLS Making any commission from the Purolator courier charges? If not, then why not find a more affordable courier that specialises in documents? Purolator specialises (and is rate competitive) only for urgent heavy parcels to my knowledge.I would urge everyone to raise a complain on portal "madad" against BLS Canada for exorbitant courier service fees, any other issues you are facing, it's run by Ministry of external affairs. Action is prompt and noticeable.

I have even heard they accept bribes just for accepting the applications on priority i.e. walk-ins and/ or appointments
a $10 courier for one way is being charged $35.. That's a loot and lot of margin stacking. After some discussion the price came down to $79 for express. Still way too high for an envelope.
First they claimed I'm in a "remote area" and quoted $120. I checked myself and found drop-off only was $36 express and argued with them and somehow he was able to improve the rate to $79 which works out to be $43 for pickup from the nearest Purolator office.a $10 courier for one way is being charged $35.. Is BLS Making any commission on these charges?
Their rates are meant to be by in province/out of province regardless of distance. Actually the guy on the phone tried to swindle me, he kept insisting that I need to pay 4 Courier charges... Including "Brampton to consulate and consulate to Brampton". I didn't fall for that obviously.Brampton to Caledon/Mississauga courier they charge $25 to $30

As to bribes, I reached Brampton BLS at 10.30am after a 4.5h drive to get there, and was sent away without being offered to make any "bribe". I even went to the office, they checked my documents upon request, but sent me away. Those who queued at 7am were being seen in the afternoon.
