i see a lot of Evel Knievels in these forums, trying stunts of traveling to different countries on IN passports, giving themselves and others, assurances that it is within 3 months of obtaining CA citizenship, or it is only a travel to US etc etc! they are unknowingly treating their luck (or consequences building up in silence) as success.

Page 1 and 2 on both page either you can have your child sign (just ask them to write there names) or if they are too young then the thumb impression should be included.
The signatures in our daughter's application, were done by them at the BLS counter since we submitted the applications in person

Just to share my experience, I went to BLS center Brampton Today.IU see coupel of issues happened there - 1) BLS guy asked me to even show oroiginal canadian citizenship ceritificate but as per their checklist only phototcopy is required I didn't take the canadian citizenship ceritifcate original with me and had to go back home and get the oiriginal ceritifcates to show him, which was really a pain. I had to again the token and go back in line .
2) the guy at BLS center asked me to use courier drop off service. and in addition to courier service charges of appx $30 per applictaion. they did charge me some serive fee an dconsulr fee etc ewtc and on top of that I was also charged with additional $6 service fee per person and when I asked what is this additional service fee,he said it's CGI service fee which you have to pay. I notice on top of that reciept it's written as PPage fee receipt. No idea at all what are these additional service fee charges of $6 per person. Anyone else faced the same issue ? Seriously this is too much!!!!!

No idea at all what are those charges of $6 per person. Anyone else faced the same issue ?Seriously this is too much!!!!!

c - did you try suggesting you don't need courier service?
d - reg photos - were those pasted on the form or loose? did the girl at the counter check for studio name or date behind the photo?

couple of qns
a - walkin or appointment? - appointment but I don't think it really matters as the security guy gave me token when I entered which seems first come first serve. so not sure at all what does appointmnet mean here
b - wait time? - within 1 hour everything was done.
c - did you try suggesting you don't need courier service? - i did, but he mentioned you can only pickup betwen 3-4 at other 40 gilligham drive location and I have experience of waiting time of that location which is minum 2 hours at any day. So didn't wanna spend my whole day for pickup.
d - reg photos - were those pasted on the form or loose? did the girl at the counter check for studio name or date behind the photo? - I didn't paste on form. yes he checked the date on back of the photo. But if you ask me what's the sense of that anyways we are just pasting thos eon firm and no one can even read the date behind glued photo

Also an advice, get original canadian citizenship certificate with you for all family memebers as they need to verify even though chechklist just say copy

Somehow I feel he charged me $6 per person extra as a fee of accpeting the photos. To me I really feel it's a kind of person to person thing there. They are not even following their own checklist which says copy of canadian citizenship certificate. They asked 1 lady to write Brampton at 1 of place in form andgo bakc and get it signed from her person.

I visited Brampton BLS last saturday for a walk-in to surrender passport - expected long queues becoz' of weekend but the whole process was smooth and completed within 45 minutes - Reached there around 9:45 AM and out by 10:30. They accepted my photo as well...there is a separate building/office for passport & Visa services (this is within service canada building - 4th floor) - Regular day walk-in may be even faster...

COPR wasn't checked. You should carry all originals (CAN Passport, Address Proof, Citizenship Certificate) - they will check and give it back to you. I preferred courier service - one of my friend opted for pick-up; looks like there was only one counter and one individual to provide passports during pick-up schedule (it's only a 1-2 hour window)....long queues and he needed to go there multiple days just for pick-up...if u have pre-booked OCI appointments or other commitments in a tight schedule, best is to opt for a courier service....

Hi, I surrendered my Indian PP on 24Feb and it is still review at Consulate. I am travelling to India this Saturday. IS there a way to ask BLS to send the courier to my neighbor address?

Sorry, i donno about the change of address ...can you pls lemme know if you applied for Entry/tourist visa at the same time of passport surrender or is it an e-visa? If it's e-visa, can u share your timeline (when did u apply and turnaround time for receiving approval etc.,) pls...

I am waiting to receive my Canadian Passport. Can someone please direct me to the process of surrendering Indian Passport, steps to apply OCI. Is there any thing pinned here or anywhere in this forum?
