Indian passport surrender

Hi, I sent my application using purolator to Ottawa bls last Monday 21 and package got delivered. Tracking status in BLS shows delivered by Hand. I am not sure if the process started or not. Anywhere else I can track to anyone had the same status. Any help is appropriated.

My application status changed today "Surrender certificate has been printed."
Will it take 2 weeks from here to deliver the certificate?

Someone was telling me that Toronto office doesnt accept many walkins.....so please be prepared

Is it true that Toronto bls centre is not accepting walk-ins anymore. Anybody went recently can share their experience?

They have stopped walk-ins in Brampton and Toronto as of Nov 16.
We had an appointment on Nov 19 for surrender in Brampton and I could see that the security was not allowing any walkin into BLS

Yes went there on 28 Nov. No walk-ins allowed. Only those with appointments were allowed yo go in.

Status has changed just now on Passport Seva website: https://portal6.passportindia.gov.in/Online/welcomeLink?request_locale=en

Surrender certificate has been granted and is available for issuance.

BLS Brampton appointment slots are available right now for SC and Passport Services

Under passport details section - Passport# has to be the Indian passport#

Thank you . One more thing for Surrender certificate and tourist visa we just have to provide documents mentioned in checklist right? Is there any other extra documents rather that mentioned in checklist we have to provide?

I would suggest you to follow the checklist..

Does anyone know if we have to send copy of our old password which was expired few years ago ? I renewed after that and have valid passport?

No you dont need old expired passport. I took it with me but they didnt check. Only last held passport.
