Indian Passport Renewal from BLS Toronto

Hello all,

Passport renewal query:

One of the Mandatory document required is COPR with Passport number on it. But my COPR which I got in MAY 2020 only shows my name and UCI id. What should I do here? Contacting IRCC is not a option as it takes almost 20 weeks for them to send the document. And my passport is already expired in NOV.

Vancouver counslate asks you to email them before applying for tatkaal. If they agree with your Tatkaal case they respond to the tatkaal email otherwise they do not even respond. Yes, they are this MCBC. If they respond to you and allow it, you can apply then on Tatkaal basis.

I have submitted my application for renewal on Dec 6th. Yesterday I got email for police verification on Dec29th. When do you guys think I will be able to get my passport. I have flight on Feb 2nd. Do you all think I should be able to get it before that?

Hi, mine is showing Print Initiated since December 27 and now it again went back to "application is under review at embassy/consulate". Not sure why? Did they request you for Police Verification?

Mine it said passport granted post police verification basis.
I got a mail for police verification though,
My passport shows print initiated. My family had done police verification done in police 2 days ago.
I need to travel urgently to India. I don’t know when will I receive the passport.

After print initiated the you get the status like Passport is printed, once you get this thing, then exactly 1 week.

the process takes 6 weeks, you would be getting before that. In-case if it delays, please add a response at https://blsindia-canada.ca/contact on Jan 25th.

Just check the category. There should be some category mentioned CEC/SW1 anything like that.

Incase there is no category mentioned, check your passport there should be IRCC stamp on it, issued from New delhi. On which it should mentioned IM1 category. Then youre are good to go. (No further COPR or approval Required)

If there is no IM1 category then look for S-1or Worker category. Then get the approval from the consulate.

Good morning, my son passport timeline, 12 November submission at Toronto Brampton able. December 12, Indian police verification completed and they sent report. December 20 my father checked the status from Mumbai, it said passport printing then after one week it showed in consulate General. But I am checking in Canada Bls tracking it is showing processing in Consulate General. Please advise how should I know the status and how should i follow up. Thanks in advance

Please can anyone guide me with the link how to check the status from Mumbai, I am checking on bls tracking but it is the same message. I tried calling the number in bls but it goes in voicemail. Please can anyone assist me with the phone number from Toronto. Will visiting Bls office help. We need to apply for my son work permit. Need urgent help. Thank you
