Indian Passport Renewal from BLS Toronto

Hi,

Sharing my timeline here for the Passport renewal process. The wait time was really frustrating and monitoring others timelines gave me an idea of the wait time for each step during the renewal. Hope it helps others

I applied to BLS Vancouver in person. It took me approximately 7.5 weeks time for the entire process (53 days).

Good afternoon,

The status of my application just got updated to " Ready for collection ". I want to know whether my document will be delivered to me or do I need to pick it up?

@Lakhvir singh sidhu - i have flights this week and took my tickets as a proof of travel, they agreed and gave my the passport without any issues, but one does need to have a reason for picking this up personally

@Gridlock@21 if you paid for courier , then this will be couriered, else you need to pick it up, call BLS customer care, they will give you the information

Hi,
My status on BLS is "in transit from embassy to BLS since yesterday.
My status on passport seva was "dispatch initiated yesterday, but now it's application under review at embassy again. Inspect mode shows Dispatch initiated. Does anyone know what's going on and when I will receive my passport?

Just wanted to check if you have received Police verification email?
Because I can see the same status as you but I received Police verification email.
Did you receive your passport without PV?

[/QUOTEu will get your passport before police verfication . But u need to complete police verification . Also , in some case they issue passport on post police verfication .
