Oh thanks for the info! I'm waiting for the docs. Just spoke to BLS and they said my docs will be here by tomorrow.So I tried calling them and their agents are helpful but you often get conflicting information from different people if you call multiple times.
What I gathered was that I basically have to resubmit the entire application. For that I obviously have to wait for the returned documents which they will send via Puralator (could take upto a week it seems).
The person I spoke to said I can obtain permission from the Consulate in Toronto to have the Indian address printed on the passport. I dont know how to go about it yet - I can try emailing but I do now know if they actually entertain such requests.
Any insights would be helpful! And please let me know if you find out anything at your end....
They mentioned that putting Canada address on passport has now become mandatory since the past 2 months. Earlier it was optional, since my friend had put her Indian address about 6 months back.
I think I'll just put the Canadian address on the passport now. Although it isn't ideal for me, looks like less hassle.
