Indian Passport Renewal from BLS Toronto

Would suggest emailing CGI Toronto to understand what is going on with your application. In the email mention the dates, your details and let them know that you are currently blocked by this and need to travel pretty soon and would be difficult to plan without having the new passport.

i send email to CGI also and passport department also but still there is no update from them.
can i visit directly to CGI toronto without any appointment.

My application was sent back by BLS with the reason: " Applicant is required to mention their Canadian address for Printable address and Indian Address should be mentioned for other address. Ensure that both addresses are exactly as per the proof being provided". I would like to have my Indian Address printed on the passport. Can someone please suggest if they have been in a similar situation and got your application returned? What action did you take to rectify this?

Didn't you include your Canadian address in the form?
If you did include then make sure you also attach rental agreement or any id proof that includes your Canadian address.

I have included my Canadian address as well and attached my Driving License as Proof of Address. I don't understand why would we provide our Canadian Address (Rental in my case) on our passport.

I've provided my Indian address and it went fine. I am yet to receive my passport though.

If you are on PR , They are asking Canadian address is mandatory. Embassy will issue Passport with Canadian Address. If you are on Work Permit then Canadian address proof is needed but Passport can be issue with Indian Address

I have sent an email to Consulate General of India in Toronto and got the below response:

If the applicant has a work permit / PR then it is mandatory that the printable address has to be Canadian address.

can you share CGI Toronto email id. I have submitted passport renewal application on August 1st week. It is still showing in process at Consulate.
