Hello guys...I have recently qalified as Chartered Accountant in November 2012 attempt and I am now planning to migrate to Canada.
Can you guys please guide me the best way to come here. Can I apply for direct PR or if not then how can I settle there?
Study visa or work visa?
In study visa...what course should I apply for?
And in work visa...can I apply under new occupation list 1112-Financial and investment analyst??
Please guide guys...I am so keen to get your response...
Please help.

Thank you
friend you need to have proper experience in niche field....and that will be evident from the reference letter which you need to obtained and show it to canadian authrotities.

Thank you friend....
Do they need post qualification experience? Or I can show part-time or subsequent experience with studies.?

And some more details please:

Can you please tell me the terms of this program.
I mean duration of work visa allotted (eg. 2-3 years) and can we apply for any study course while working there?
And also do we need to look for similar job to continue with work visa or we can do any type of work?
And what would be the total cost in this work visa application.?
Please guide friends

Thank you

Hi everybody,
Hope you all are doing well.
I am also a chartered from india planning to settle in canada.
Please advise hw this profession is there and is there any recognition.
Experience person has any value or he has to start from a fresh.
Salary structure etc etc.
Thanks in advance
Have a nice day

@ May2010applicant and others - what i felt is the easier option (though it looks bit tough) is opting for UFE. Coz I dont think any Canadian CA would vouch for you unless you know him/her personnally.

Further I have a few questions for seniors -
1. Per ICAO website - we are supposed to provide them with the transcript for the degrees we hold (i.e. B.Com, M.com etc) - did I interprete it exactly or am I missing on anything here;
2. I wrote a mail to ICAI helpdesk seeking the procedure to obtain Certificate of Good Standing, waiting to hear from them. Has anybody gone through this process?
3. I read on ICAO's website that one of the main eligibility criteria for registering with CICA is we need to be a citizen or allowed to work in Canada : this means in a nutshell we cant register ourselves unless we have PR and have landed there.

Many thanks in advance.

Regards
CA Vaibhav

Hello Everyone,

We are couple are we are going to land in Toronto in September as we have PR,

--- my wife want to do C.A after reaching in Canada, anyone can guide the name of College, Institute with Fees.

--- Being PR we can get benefit in Fees?

--- In India she had applied for IPCC but for some reason she could not able to gave, after reaching she can give?

Hi dina07,

As your wife hasnt obtained Indian CA she cant get the benefit of MRA. In Canada, the CA profession is regulated by each state seperately. Let her browse CICA website which is quite useful. Further she can also think of doing CGA which is considered relatively easier to complete (FYI - I didnt do any of these as yet).

All the best.

regards
Vaibhav

dear friends..scenario for indian ca's is very bad in Canada ..until u go there with lots of money...firstly in order to survive for at least 3-4 years n then study Canadian accountancy...
no one is ready to give decent job to indian ca's.my friend is ca with over 15 years exp. but in Canada no one gives a damn..to such a qualified n experienced person..his PR is getting waste since hes scared of being jobless in Canada..n the best part is even Indians wo are in good positions in Canada are not ready to help..they r having fun..
Canada sucks...

Any update on how many points for CA qualification, is it considered equivalent to Master's Degree?
