This means that BLS has not opened your file yet. Try calling them but in my case there was no hope as their customer service is in India. I filled out the grievance form and till 2 days they didn't address that as well, then I emailed BLS Hq with all my details and grievance form ticket number and my file was opened and sent to consulate on the same day. Hope this helps!

if it says "PCC needs to be collected from the Regional Passport Office " then you are done with police submission else still with police department either local or SP/commissioner office.

My application was showing as Processing at CGI toronto since 21st July. Finally wrote an email to the cons.toronto@mea.gov.in and got a reply that they have forwarded the application for processing today.

I can now see a category number generated. Will give it another day for the tracking details to be available on the website. But this is taking very long time.

I am in need of extreme help. I applied for PCC on July 2nd and I erroneously filled the wrong form Manuallybut now I sent them the application back at BLS. They are telling me it willl take 24 hours to update that into system.
My question is I have 45 days left to apply for PR. I am depressed what if I will not get in within the time limit. Please help me and suggest the options?

A lot of us here in the same boat. So no need to get depressed. Wait till the last week. If something happens then good. If not then prepare an LOE. Attach the evidence like your application acknowledgement, follow-up emails with BLS/CGI and screenshot of the last status before submission. You should be good.

Hey I got a status update! I recently log into passports seva to track my application yesterday the status changed to “PCC needs to be collected from regional passport office” what does this mean any clue? I am kinda confused will I have to collect my document from bls ottawa?

This means police verification is done, it will take another 10-15 days to get PCC.

I submitted LOE for PCC last week, still didn't get any acknowledgment from IRCC but here is the format which I submitted, hope it helps.
