Currently the file number (cat*****) has been generated for me and its showing following status on the Passport tracking app.
I read somewhere earlier that above status means Police verification has been initiated but my brother checked today (22-July) at the nearest police station and they have not received the file yet.
Just checking if the status Police verification initiated or something will get reflected here or what needs to be done from my side.

Acknowledgement mail by BLS - 14th July (22 days)
Sent to CGI - 21st Jul (7 days after acknowledgment)
You should get an acknowledgement this week. Check your spam mails as well. If not then I suggest you call their call-center.
Mine were sent to BLS on 25th June and I see 'no records' as well. I tried calling them multiple times, but no one is picking calls on the 'status checking' lineAnyone got status update after sending documents on June 22- 26 please?

Hi all, I was able to reach someone from BLS and I inquired about the status. He informed they are backed up on applications received in the last week of June and they are still with BLS itself. We should be able to see an update next week it seems (Mon or Tue).Anyone got status update after sending documents on June 22- 26 please?

after police verification i got pcc ready to collect in indian portal and today it showed the pcc printed or PCC application has been granted on 22/07/2020. PCC will be dispatched to the current address of the applicant. The applicant would receive an sms once the PCC is ready for dispatch.

mine is also showing the same status; wondering this could be the police verification stage??.. I haven't received any mail from CGI with any file number so far, just looked by my self on the application portal to get the CAT***.
login to your allocation and get CAT***; I haven't got any mail too; but CAT*** is available on my application.
