Hi all

I'm in the process of sponsoring my parents and have inadvertently sent an incomplete payment with my application. I paid for my parent's application but not my sister's.

I would like to complete the payment asap online and send CIC notification that this has been completed.

Can anyone guide me on how this is done and if this is better than waiting for CIC to contact me?

Thx

I'm not sure if it is possible to send them notification before you receive acknolwedgement that your application has been received by CIC. I know that usually you have to wait for when you've received a UCI number, otherwise, they won't have a way to match up e receipt with the rest of the application file.

Hopefully, since you've paid for the primary applicants, and just forgot your sister, they will send you a notification to make the payment for her and send in the receipt.

I'm not sure how long that will take as I understand the process for sponsoring parents takes years.

Hi thx for your reply.

Actually CIC did reply to my application stating that they begun processing my application but that my sisters application was incomplete. I included her missing documents but forget to send payment.

I began the process in October 2010 and received the first response back from CIC earlier this year.

Oh! Well in that case, you can send the receipt to the processing centre (is it initially sent to Mississauga and still there? Or sent abroad?) and be sure to include the UCI number, so it is easy to match up with the rest of the file.

I would also probably scan it and email it as well so they can receive it quicker instead of waiting for the original. Still send the original, but also an email with the attached scan of receipt.

I know that there is a specific address in Mississauga to send the RPRF receipts, but is this the original payment? Or the RPRF?

Great! It should be smooth sailing from there.
