I got two contract positions through an agency when I first graduated. Both positions were under NOC C which do not qualify for CEC or FSW. Do I still have to include them in my EE profile?

You cant claim points for this experience in EE work history however You need to mention these experiences in your personal history after your ITA.

Will CIC consider it as misrepresentation if I only mention them aftering getting ITA? I don't see the point of including them in the initial profile as they are not qualifying experience anyways but I don't want to get into trouble. I can ask the agency to provide me a letter confirming my employment in case CIC asks for it, however I doubt if they can give me one with job resposibilities.

I just tried calling again and the guy 'didn't know'.

At no point in EE does it say you must list all experience for the last 10 years, that comes after ITA.

It doesn't specify all work experience, just asks if you have any.

I just emailed them this:

"Hello,

When completing the express entry profile it asks 'if XXX has any work experience'. How much experience should I list? All work expierence or only the work that would qualify me for EE.

My spouse worked in Canada while we were there but all jobs were NOC C or D and do not gain us any points. By not declaring them in EE will this be grounds for misrepresentation. We will of course be declaring these post ITA in personal history."

Lets see if it gets a response.

Hi, kryt0n.

At the end, did you get any answer from CIC regarding this question ?
I'm also a bit confused about this.

Hi,

As far as I remember the forms specifically asked for Skilled work experience not all work experience. The blue help link further stated NOC 0/A/B jobs. This is what I am able to recall. Others who remember this requirement from their profiles can confirm further.

All Canadian work experience can give you points regardless the NOC as long as you meet the requirements for the category you applied in.

For example, I have one year Canadian NOC B experience and two years NOC C. My Canadian work experience points currently reflect three years.

Thats strange..

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/cec/apply-who.asp

Minimum requirements
You must:

have at least 12 months of full-time (or an equal amount in part-time) skilled work experience in Canada in the three years before you apply,

Skilled work experience
To be considered for the Canadian Experience Class, you need to have Canadian skilled work experience within three years of applying. According to the Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC), skilled work experience means:

Managerial jobs (NOC skill level 0)
Professional jobs (NOC skill type A)
Technical jobs and skilled trades (NOC skill type B)

I am FSW so I am not as up-to date on CEC requirements. Has something changed in the min requirements and pages not updated.?

So I meet the minimum requirements for CEC as I have over 12 months skilled experience in NOC B.

Then in the 'Canadian work experience' I gain additional points for the work completed in NOC C that I included.

Thanks for your replies, guys.

I'm still not sure about the following point:
My wife has work experience outside of Canada and it won't give us any scores.
Do I still need to mention this when creating a profile ?

I asked this the other day. The consensus appears to be:

You are able to not include it in your EE profile and as such will not need to provide a letter of employment etc post ITA.

You will however be required to include it in the personal history section post ITA.

I second that. Since you are not getting any points for wife's foreign work experience, you do not need to include this experience in her work history section. You will however need to disclose the work experience in her personal history section.

Thanks,
this really helps!

And one more question: if I have a break of more than 12 months in my work history
will I get points for the job I had before this break ? or only continuous work experience will be scored ?

For Canadian experience? They removed the continuous requirement in May, you are fine.
