Yes! canuck_in_uk is absolutely right. The Lock in Date is the date which matters. My youngest dependent was never asked anything as he was 18 years old when our file started processing.

You will get your lock-in-date in your GCMS notes. If you do not know what GCMS is, kindly use search function and you'll find tons of threads.

Most lawyers are dumb too.

I was locked as dependant A.... I was 20 or 21 may b at that timeee

I searched for gcms note... i dont think its rite time for me to apply becoz my medical is pending so dont u think i shd apple at the last step pf case?

If you were locked in as TYPE A Dependent, you are fine. You should not & will not be asked to provide documentary evidence. You also need to make your visa officer aware of this fact. Although the best way to deal with it would be to keep studying.

On 1st August 2014, dependent's age was reduced from 22 to 19, however this does not affect any previous cases... only new cases (Source)

Regarding GCMS notes, I applied for my GCMS notes when my 3rd medical was pending (applied for GCMS straight after giving medicals). However, it would take around 45 days to 100 days.
