I'm just wondering if anyone has a firm answer (if possible) on whether your application is 'in process' at the intake center or at your local office. I had guessed it started processing when your local office received it but I came across a thread here somewhere, where an agent told someone that their application was 'in process' and will be sent to the local office in due course. What do you all reckon? I got a phone call from a lovely agent the day before my application went into 'in Process' and I was so shocked to get it, I didn't think to ask any questions..lol.

Did you receive a call from the IRCC agent? But why did they call? I think the intake centre put the application into processing and forward it to your local office. I may be wrong.
Thanks. It was a minor question about my name, from an agent I guess. I don't know was it my local office or Nova Scotia intake center though. It came from a private number.
I never got a call from an agent or anything- my application just went right into process May 1st of this year and hasn't changed since. Be prepared for a really long wait for processing, especially if you're in Ontario.
It happened to me.. They call me to asked about my kids last name.. I asked the status and he said we are just in the first steps.. Next day my file was In Process.. I applied January, file In process since May 1.. nothing else after.. The officer was very nice, I also was in shock for the call .. at the beginning I talk to him like a scam call.. maybe he was mad at me because forgot about my file. I hope you don't have any delay!
D you by any chance remember which number they called from. I think I should pick up calls from unknown number from now on.
