Aug. 6 in Process.

Just hang on the faith.

God's provides.

Guys, I’m a bit confused.

Submitted my application last week and got ECAS access today.

My exact time line:

Location: Australia (Outland FSW)
ITA: 17 July
Medicals done: 6 August
AOR: 7 August
Medicals passed (in myCIC): 14 August
ECAS access: 15 August

It says “In process” on the first page. When I click on it, it says the following:

1. We received your application for permanent residence on August 7, 2015.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on August 7, 2015.
3. We started processing your application on August 13, 2015.

Now, I understand from this thread that people get really excited when this happens, but I’m having a hard time believing that this means anything in my case.

My questions:

a) Why do some people have that status after months of waiting and for me it took only a week? Does it mean the same thing?
b) Surely it can’t mean I’ve passed the eligibility test? That would be way too quick?
c) Which of the three tables do I need to look at – Outside Canada, In Canada, or FSW Sydney? What does the last one mean?

It would be great if you could help me understand this. I spend the last 1.5h poking around the forum but I’m still confused.

Cheers,

Dex

No idea but your application does seem to be progressing very well.

b) Surely it can't mean I've passed the eligibility test? That would be way too quick?

Possible. That doesn't mean all the background verification is done yet. Just the program eligibility - which is fairly quick if your application is straightforward and has all the relevant documents.

c) Which of the three tables do I need to look at – Outside Canada, In Canada, or FSW Sydney? What does the last one mean?

None of those tables are accurate for EE - they all belong to the pre-EE era. CIC hasn't published EE specific flowcharts yet.

It would be great if you could help me understand this. I spend the last 1.5h poking around the forum but I'm still confused.

Cheers,

Thanks for your quick reply, Asivad. Much appreciated.

I guess I'll just have to wait and see. My application is rather straightforward but it's still weird that it appears to be progressing fast. Not that I'm complaining, but it seems somewhat unfair towards those that have been waiting for ages.

1, After AOR, then ECAS activated and 1st time is "in process"
2, medical passed, then ECAS immediately/after some days changed to "Application Received"
3, no idea how many days pass, then ECAS changed to "in process" AGAIN, which is different from NO.1

not an official pattern but many of us follow this...so does your ECAS ever show "Application Received" before the present "in process"??

I believe you're still at the first in process /progress stage. After a medical passes in a few days the ECAS status should change to 'application Received '. Besides you should also have a line in your ECAS that reads 'Medical results have been received' which based on your post you don't have.

Got it. Thanks, guys! You are correct. It never said "application received" on the first page, and there wasn't a line item about medicals received.

Confusing about 2x "in process"

By the way would being asked schedule A or travel history early in the process good sign of application progression or would mean nothing? When have others been asked schedule A. Is it a later in the process document or people have been asked earlier before ecas turned to application received and then in process.

I would like to share my time line
Can some one tell me next will happen , Ecas changed from application recived to in process , will it be now changed to decision made or it will changed to application received then decision made ?

Seniors Please advise

ECAS status:
-We received your application on April 3, 2015.
-We started processing your application on May 29, 2015.
-Medical results have been received.

- Type of PR application: FST
- Inlander or outlander: Inlander
- Spouse included in your PR application: No
- Number of children included in your PR application: None

EE profile: February 7

Inland, with partner
App submitted and AOR: May 7
Medical passed: approximately May 22
Eligibility Review in Progress: May 12
Background Check in Progress: May 12
Request Letter: June 11. We had ordered an ECA from ICAS to apply for CEC in 2014, and it was the wrong type for EE, as it did not have IMM at the end and did not allow CIC electronic confirmation of our results. The letter asked us to contact ICAS and get them to allow CIC access to our results. We did, paid extra, and within 2 weeks ICAS issued the new report, which we sent on to CIC, approximately Jun 25.

ECAS: Application Received with 3 lines (but dates we made the EE profile, not the dates we submitted the PR application): May 22
In Process: sometime in the night between August 14 and 15.
