Hello, looking for some advise on my PR Status:
My PR Card expired in 2016, I didn't meet RO but applied for PR renewal in 2019 based on humanitarian ground and living with Canadian spouse, renewal application in process since then. Travelled to Canada after 5 years via US in July 2021 for two months to meet family (wife & children all Canadians) and returned back to my home country. Travelled back to Canada in December 2021 again via US and since then been living in Canada. CBSA didn't report me at the border but advised me to meet RO. Now, I have to travel once more to wrap up my business and plan to come back via US again but not sure whether I should take risk of being reported. Would be grateful if any one in similar situation can share their experience/recommendations.

Thanks

You really need to figure out what is going on with the PR card renewal application from 2019 because that impacts your future status in Canada. You should order GCMS notes to figure out what is going on with this. Based on your posts it doesn’t seem clear whether you ever moved to Canada for an extended period of time with your family during the first 5 years when you got PR. To count time with a Canadian spouse abroad you have to have lived in Canada first and the travel should be to accompany the Canadian. Given that you have been warned about your RO you have likely been flagged in the system so there is a very good chance you will be reported if you leave Canada and try to reenter without meeting RO. You have reentered via the US border many times based on your posts and you were aware that you weren’t meeting RO based on your PR card renewal application based on H&C. You can appeal if you are reported. Personal choice. Assume you have been paying Canadian taxes on your international income while your family has been in Canada.

Thank you for your response, much appreciated.
I lived in Canada for a short span of time when we moved here in 2013 then had to leave within few months due to unavoidable reasons. I will definitely take your adv and order GCMS as it's going to be three years since i had applied for renewal. Yes, i have been filing and paying my taxes.

Also, I do have a job offer from a prominent organization and if the outcome of my PR application goes against me, will that have any impact on my employment?

Yes you’d lose your PR status. Your SIN# may also be on hold at the moment.
