Hi

I want to try and improve my IELTS score. I received high/top marks for Listening (L), Reading(R) and speaking(S). However I was so nervous with the writing that I only got a 6.5. I was wondering, If I sit for another IELTS exam, will my previous good marks for L, R and S be irrelevant? Let say for instance, I am able to improve my writing to a 8, but i somehow get lower marks for L,R and S. Do I have to use my new scores for L,R and S or can I still use my old scored from when they are good.

In summary, can I combine my new and old IELTS scores and use only the best score for each L,R,S and W?

Thanks

Hi

Unfortunately only the new IELTS results are considered, old one becomes non-applicable.

What CLB band do you currently fall in?

Hi Govender, great to see another PTA, South African!
I have the following scores. L-8.5, R 9, W 6.5, D 8. According to the CIC extract below, I think I have an average CLB of 9.5? Am I correct?
