Improving the chances to get PR

Hello All,

I am Siddharth from India. I have just started my PR process. I would be doing my ECA sooner. I would like to know what are the chances to improve our score. I already have 402 points on 600 without adding the points for my spouse. Adding them would land me around 450 points. Kindly let me know if the above points would be enough to get a PR or PNP? If not, kindly suggest ways by which I can improve my CRS score.

450 is not high enough at the moment, but the score has dropped that low in the past, so it's possible.
Unfortunately, no one can predict what the scores will be like in the future. But there is a possibility the score may drop at the end of this year or the beginning of next year. So you could try waiting until then.

The easiest way to improve your CRS score is by getting better results on your IELTS. Getting CLB 9 in all bands will raise your score dramatically (if you haven't already got CLB 9).

PNP is another option.
Ontario is the only province that has a minimum score for PNP, which is 400. Ontario PNP is currently closed, though.
PEI and New Brunswick are your best bet for PNP, and they are both currently open.

That's a pretty good score, but not good enough for cic at the moment. I am expecting the cutoff score to come down in the next 6-8 months. As the previous poster suggested, try maxing the ielts score. This will increase your chances to get an ITA. Getting a PR depends on your personal application and what the officer thinks of it. Thanks for the clear response. Yea thinking to do the same. But my CLB 9 got missed just by a 0.5 score in speaking my IELTS scores are as follows.

Listening - 9
Writing - 7
Reading - 7.5
Speaking - 6.5

Is it advisable to write my IELTS again? Kindly advice.

Yep, there's a lot of room for improvement. Re-take the exam.
