Hi, im writing on behalf of my Irish friend, Amy.

So she was in Vietnam for 5 months, out of the country to go to Philipine, came back for 7months and 1/2. her case is extremely and impossible to have Vietnam Police clearance.

shes now married with a Canadian, mother of Canadian citizen, living in Canada with visitor visa. She wonder if there is any way than to prove that she has no criminal record than Police clearance. ?

I have been helping her for over a year in this case, but it is impossible to obtain this paper in Vietnam.

Please let me know your experience and opinion!

Hey Linh,

If she has tried everything possible and has proofs of it (emails from the embassy etc), she can try to write a letter explaining what she has done, with proofs, and ask for lenience regarding the Police Certificate. It worked for me, but not for Vietnam - however I had over 15 different emails from trying during 10 months to get a police certificate.... so she can always try, but I would advise to have really tried everything possible and have proofs for it.
Good luck,
Sweden

Thank you Sweden. I m glad that your case has gone well. :) and soon reunite with ur beloved!

Anyone has another idea for impossible/missing police clearance? please help!

If shes residing in Canada, she is to contact the nearest Vietnamese Embassy in Canada and request for one.

If you have left Vietnam and require a Police Criminal Records Clearance/Check Certificate do not dispair!

I recommend contacting Viet Anh Nguyen. He is a lawyer working for a reputable firm in Hanoi and specialises in these cases.

The specifics are: $550 and the certificate will take 20-25 days to obtain. The charge includes the international postage costs.

I used this service and Viet Anh was very informative and talked me through the process. Highly recommended, a very nice person and great experience.
