If CBSA report shows last entry as 2010 what does it prove. Irrespective of older entries also being present. Lets say person now in jan 2014 applies for citizenship. Will his journey be smooth. Does CBSA last entry suffices the proof he lived in canada and is CBSA record paramount to any other proof. Canada does not do exit stamp agreed but if a person has one last entry in CBSA record how is it interpreted.

This will prove that you did not leave Canada after 2010 since this is your last entry record at CBSA databases.

It is very hard to say it will be smooth or not. It should be as long as you have lived here long enough to apply citizenship.
I would include some other supporting documents such as pay stubs, notice of assessment, school transcript, etc.

As long as whatever you provided in the application form is valid, I would not worry at all. Good luck

Record of entry and exit to USA by US CBP

After I passed my citizenship exam, the CIC agent asked me to provide a report known as Record of entry-exit to USA as an additional proof of residence in Canada. I requested the report on line in July 11 on the FOIA-US Customs and Border Protection webpage and I got a reply that the report will be submitted to me on August 25th. So far I have not received the report and the due date is still Aug 25th. My request is still on the assignment phase. I sent a couple of letters to CIC explaining the situation. About 4 weeks ago I received a Final Notice to submit the report. I called CIC and they said there is no evidence in my file that I have replied or given any explanation of why I have not submitted the report. I sent another letter two weeks ago.
I'm worried because my file in CIC there is no record of receipt of any of my letters. I know they received the letters because I sent them with proof of signature.
I am also worried because it seems my file in USCBP is not moving forward and I suspect they will never reply.
In my previous job I had to travel many times to USA which I included all in my application. At the time of the interview, the CIC agent showed me a list of missing trips to USA, but those trips he showed to me, are border crossings for shopping, returning the same day, and I understand those few hours trips are not required to be included in the report.
The days I reported on my citizenship application exceeds approx. by 100 days the minimum required days to qualify to apply for the Canadian Citizenship. I'm not sure why they still want to see that record of entry exit to USA.
I will appreciate if you can provide any advice...shall I hire an immigration lawyer? Or shall I just wait and see what happens? Shall I send another letter to update the status of my report request to USCBP?
Thanks

What do CBSA and CBP reports prove? Nothing really, since both agencies readily admit that their records are not always complete and accurate.

Its not conclusive that you never left between last entry date and application dates (there are cases of PRs hiding a second or even third passport of different or same nationality and using it for travel) so it depends.....if you were working full time then it adds to the 'residence proof matrix'. In contrast if you were self employed/ unemployed then maybe CIC want to dig into your file some more.....is this your situation? Did you end up getting an RQ...I recall you stating that you submitted 400 pages of documentation. Was this for RQ response or initial application?

I second thecoolguysam's mention of the i94. This is a much quicker option.

Also, whenever sending something to the CIC, you need to have a tracking number and signature required. Do not send regular mail. You need proof that you actually sent it for those rare occasions when thing get lost in the post or lost in the CIC mail room.
