Indeed, the situation here in Canada is getting tougher and tougher for international students ! :-\

situation was always tough its just that people choose to ignore it ....why do u think CIC introduced GIC so that people shouldnt face problem once they come to canada. They should have money to survive. CIC must have got complaints about such situations so they try to improve the system but people always find loop holes.
