HII, im fatima,

and my husband is applying as a dentist for canada immigration.

i wanted to know for submittion of documents, do we need to verify his BDS degree from karachi university? and what about
intermediate and matric certificates?

should we just provide photocopies of these documents?

and nikkah nama is it acceptable as a proof of marriage?

and we are thinking of submitting application for canda by our self is ti wise thing to do? or should we consult any consultant

many thankss

Hi there Mrs. Fatima,
All the educational documents (photocopies) be verified by a notary public. the notarized copies will accompany the application.
any document that is not in official languages of Canada i.e. english or french, must be translated by the translator and notarized and the translator must give affidavit that the translations are true.
And as for Nikah naama and birth certificated are concerned get the computerized Nikah Naama and birth certificates from your respective Union Council office. I gave 1000 Rs. to Union office to get my computerized Birth certf. as a proof of marriage you can accompany couple of wedding snaps along with nikah naama.
And for any agent, I think if you both have good english then download the instruction guide, read and fill the forms. there is no need at all of any agent.
Regards,
Hope that helps you.

Hi,

My documents were returned to me because the money order had expired so I was told to send a new payment method and I sent my documents with a credit card payment instead. does that mean that my application has gone through or has been accepted since they are requesting for a new payment method?

Any insight will help.

Thanks :)

I'm seeing a lot of questions going around about the new checklist and what documents to send to the CIO.

As I read the new information, it seems that with the changes made on June 26, you now need to submit ALL the documents to the CIO, including everything requested in the specific visa office checklist for the visa office you select with your initial application. [NOTE: this does NOT apply to people who submitted their applications to the CIO before June 26, 2010] Take a look at the application instructions and the Backgrounder:

The instructions say:
"Make sure to consult the document checklist (IMM 5612) and the Visa Office specific requirements (supporting documents) for your country at: to determine what documents you will need to provide. If you are not prepared to submit full documentation to the CIO do not apply now. If you do not submit a complete application with the supporting documents, your application will be returned to you."

The backgrounder explains the change
"9. Why are you eliminating the simplified application?

Since we changed to the simplified application we've noticed a significantly higher number of applicants withdraw when asked for their supporting documents, or full application. By eliminating the simplified application and asking for all the documentation at once, we will make processing more efficient. Eliminating the simplified application shaves 120 days off the total processing time, because this is the time we allowed applicants to send in their supporting documents."

Many people are specifically asking about IELTS and PCC - and yes! you need to include them. Now

1) EVERY PRINCIPAL APPLICANT must submit the language test results (even if your native language in English or French) for an accredited test (currently IELTS and CELPIP for English and TEF for French) with their application (to the CIO)

2) PCC's must be submitted for EVERY APPLICANT (principal applicant, spouse, conjugal partner, children over a certain age depending on each country - usually 18 but sometimes 16) for every country you have lived in for 6 months or more since you were 16 or 18 years old. Note also that these must be in English or French or translated by an accredited translator.

I know this seems to be a big change, but don't despair. What you need to send hasn't changed ... you just need to send it all at once. Think positive - you no longer have to wait until you get AOR from CIO and therefore this process should be faster and this way you can make sure you have everything in time (there's been many posts before from people who are looking to get extensions from 120 days which will no longer be necessary). Good luck to everyone! If you have questions, post and search the forum ... there's lots of people who are very helpful here!

thank you so much for this..........quite explanatory,
but i'd like to know if the transcript i would collect from my university should be addressed to the CIO, sydney, canada, or to the visa office assigned to my country?

Hi,
can any one tell about educational transcripts?what if we do not accompany right now. But all the degrees and certificates are sent along with application. will application package be returned? and what if we have sent notarized copy of transcript but not university envelope sealed copy?
Please comment on it.
Thanks
Regards.

Hi

I am applying for NOC 3113 as Dentist from India with 2 years experience and will be writing my IELTS on 13th. I have a Few questions on the submitting the application, Would Really appreciate is some one can answer this as soon as possible.

1. ) Do We need to Make plain copies as it says in the checklist of the educational Documents and Experience letter, or do they need to be Notarized???
In the CheckList it mentions, "Copies unless other wise stated", but i see some people submitting notarized here in the forum

2) I am planning to transfer the funds from my husbands account to my account and then produce a Bank Statement with the funds required, DO you think
That will be a problem? I mean i can't be earning that much in 2 years to support 17,000$ approx for a family of 3.

3) Is there any other ways of showing funds to them , if its not cash. Can it be a joint accout with the husband?

I would Really appreiciate if some seniors who have already got their PR's and could answer these questions.

Thanks in Advance.

hello,

good day to all, I am a planning to migrate in Canada this year, however I am still quite confused into which noc I am. i started my job as a 2nd cook on a cruise ship in 2001 till 2005, after that i went to the UK and study NVQ in culinary arts and then hospitality and management. at present I am currently on a student visa, working as a part time casual CHEF for almost 5yrs now in one of a well known 5star hotel in London(2007 til present) can someone please give me an advice if I will qualify as a FSW, the job description for both noc (chef/cook) are almost the same and fits my job description also.my other query is that, working as a part time chef for a long period of time do qualify for a one year full time continuous employment as per stated in the FSW CLASS QUALIFICATION?. can someone please give me a good advice on this matter.

thank you.

kelsey1900, if you have to revalidate your payment, it isnt necessarily good or bad news. the processing fee must be paid by all applicants as you know.

all educational document copies to be notarised, the ones not in english to be translated.Experience letter to be sent in original as is clearly mentioned in the checklist.

That will be a problem? I mean i can't be earning that much in 2 years to support 17,000$ approx for a family of 3. i dont think this shud be a problem they are more concerned with the money rather than the source and in any case it is a legitimate source.

3) Is there any other ways of showing funds to them , if its not cash. Can it be a joint accout with the husband? it shud not be problem assuming that ur husband too is applying as spouse of applicant.

Hi. I have a question about PCC. I am a Filipino national and have worked in the Middle East - Kuwait ( left the country October 2009 ) and Bahrain ( left April 2011). Got my PCCs from both countries - December 2010. I have submitted the original PCC for both countries in my temporary work visa/permit application and I am now in Alberta working in a restaurant (arrived here April 2011). I am in the process of completing my documents for FSW. Do I need to get another PCC, even if I havent been in those countries again after I have gotten my PCCs.

i got my csq and i sent my federal file i was able to see my status online but now after 2 monthes i cannot
can anybody know the reason
nb: my file is in syria
one thing more how many time it can take to change the status frm file received to in process

I did not send my PCC as the document stated it was not mandatory but preferable to send it now. Incase I have not sent ot, then I should have it ready and send it when they request for it

Is this fine? As I had gone by what was stated in the document

If you are supposed to obtain PCC from any other country to which you are not residing now then you should go for it. And if you are supposed to submit only your current residing country's PCC then wait for their request. Because PCC is valid only for three months from the date of issuance in most parts of the world. So it is better to wait for the CIC request for PCC. they will give you time of 45-60 days to send the missing documents.

Regarding Letters of reference

can anyone help me on this. I have letters of reference from my past employers but they do not specifically mention about the total annual salary and benefits and the number of hours per week. will this document be accepted or I would be asked to get new letters in this regard? I am presently not in my home country and am employed abroad and so getting things done from every nook and corner of the place that I was previously working in,is going to be a herculean task.

@ lucky mystery

I hav applied under same NOC 3131. Is it ur phrm d transcript missing? Well if u sent result cards then probably they will accept that.
