thanks
dr., wael

Hello,

To be honest, there is nothing called as an "easy process" for immigrating to canada or any other country. I recommend you sit down and think about your educational background, work experience and skills and then decide if FSW is a better option, Quebec CSQ is a better option or if any of the PNP will work out better.

One way would be to research on some of the big cities such as Toronto, Ottawa, Vancouver, Montreal etc and find out which city is best suited according to your background and which province is the best suited for you and your family to get settled. You might even be able to qualify for any of the PNP programs.

Once again, research well, fill out the free assessment forms...thats the best way to get started. The senior board members will always provide you with honest replies.

Good luck!

Qubec.... Its faster, if thats what you ment. French is a must though.

Pally,Qubec is faster and less expensive but has it own liimitation as the main means of communication is french and the PR issued is for Qubec unliker FSW which is federal.Good luck in your decision.

But Make Sure - you qualify under the new immigration rules of Quebec. As of October 14, 2009 - Quebec has also changed its immigration rules and like the FSW - only very few occupations are eligible for processing for permanent residence for people who have applied on or after October 14, 2009 from outside Canada.

Like the FSW, Quebec is also moving in the direction where the occupation(areas of training) is off Primary importance for immigration and the points system is of Secondary importance(to filter out the most skilled people).

The other alternative is to go to Quebec on a Student Visa and after graduating apply for work and immigration - which is turning out to be the preferred route for Canadian Immigration.

mtlguy is absolutely correct! You have to make a lot of research regarding the provinces of Canada. Your educational background, experience and what not must go well with province's needs or would be the best if the province goes well with your needs and so with your family. FSW is a better option if your occupation is in their 38 occupations rules. On the other hand, Quebec is a better choice if you are included in their 2009 preferred areas of training.

But to be honest, I did a lot of research and found out that Quebec is faster, (in terms of processing time) than FSW. ;)

All the best!!

hi all

i need to know that if someone takes permanent residence in quebec, will he/she is able to move and settle in other parts of canada, like toronto? will that person work there?

There's nothing stopping you from moving out of Quebec if you applied there. However, it is recommended to stay in Quebec and try to settle there, if you can't find a job, then move to another province, but you also sign a declaration of intent to reside in Quebec the moment you apply and this might be used in your case when you apply for citizenship.
