Hi all..

I just have a question, my husband is coming to Toronto soon..
So i was wondering what kind of questions can he expect at the immigration desk at the airport?

Anyone with the same experience recently, kindly share.

P.S. He's coming from Pakistan. and it is a sponsor case.

Thanks in advance.

Also.. the address they send the PPR is the Sponsor address on the COnfirmation of Permananet residence?
If yes.. what if its not the right address?

Hey,

Congratulations on getting the PR issued, and making it through the whole process! Hope your husband will have a good flight.
I did my landing recently, but not in Toronto, however the questions seem to be pretty much the same all the time...
basically, once he lands, he should say to the border officer that he needs to land as a PR ( but it will be obvious form his visa), and they will take him to another office. There the officer will check on the system that the information on the COPR is correct, and probably ask your husband to put initials in front of his status (married), and sign at the end... he will confirm with your husband where the PR card should be sent ( so make sure that your husbnad has his future canadian address written down somewhere), and that's about it! most officers will explain the rules for PR ( 2 years of presence out of 5), and then welcome him to Canada... it is usually a 5 to 10 min process depending on how busy it is, and how chatty the officer is... our was super nice, kept on joking, and was very relaxed... and most people reported the same.
So - it will go well, nothing to worry about, it's not so much an interview, rather just a check on identity and information on the visa (correct date of birth and place of birth, etc).

Cheers,
Sweden
