I'm sorry to post this but we are not sure if this is okay or not. My wife got her photos done, no where would print them the proper size. She cut them and they are not perfectly straight. The sizing of head and overall size is correct.

Should we
Just send it
send it and include note that additional immigration photos are coming
have her retake and fedex me photos, I've already paid and was planning on mailing today.

thanks
This is for Outland US sponsorship family class

I've heard of people who had to have their photos retaken at the airport or after landing because the photos were incorrect, so it wasn't a dire situation and didn't delay the application, just the PR card, when they were told later to send the photos again after landing.

There are exact specifications in the guide. You can take the guide print out to the photographer. The first place we went to they kept insisting that they knew how to do them, however, they kept doing them to American sized visa photos. I just walked away from them even though they had cut the photos and went to another photography store where they could actually follow directions.

If your wife goes to take them again, make sure the photographer place takes the photos properly! If they don't, then walk away and find somewhere better. Your wife should not be cutting or altering the pictures. She should also be able to get a digital copy and email it to you, which you can then bring to a photo place here in Canada and have them print and cut it to size.

She ended up getting them redone as "Mexican passport size" and they cut them further and matched it to the size specs. Still this ended up costing us a fair bit of money when you factor in over night delivery. It's not the end of the world by any means, but besides all the fees, we are buying new furniture, paying for moving and so forth. Still better safe then sorry.

If you want to send them as they are you know what may happen...
they could ask for new pictures in additional documents required.....
and that may delay the process..... a few weeks...
but they may take them as they are....

You take the decision about what you want to do....

That was the wise decision...
It cost you more, but gives you peace of mind...

Now you can keep going...

I understand the frustration with money. The Immigration process isn't cheap whatsoever.

At least have the peace of mind to know that you won't have to do it again since it's correct! Best of luck to you
