Hi .... plz anyone tell me ... How immigration works at airport ??? What should we show them as a proof of fund ???
Ho many days before I can enter in Canada ??
anyone knows the case of deporting from port of entry due to lack of documents ???? Plz share ..... Thank you very much in advance !!!!

You should be ready to show the following documents:

- a valid passport or travel document
- the letter of introduction from the visa office that you received when your study permit was approved (this letter contains your permit reference number and the CBSA officer needs this letter to issue your study permit)
- a valid temporary resident visa (if required)
- a copy of the letter of acceptance from the school at which you are permitted to study
- proof that you have enough money to support yourself during your stay in Canada and
- letters of reference or any other documents recommended by the visa office where you applied.

Proof of funds, can preferably be the loan sanction letter from the bank, and the fees payment receipt (if any)

When you will arrive at Canada, at POE you will meet the IO, who will ask you about your intention to visit canada, will ask you for documents and ofcourse the PP..

In docs, mainly:

PP
LOI (Letter of Invitation)
LOA (Letter of Acceptance)
Proof of funds (If loan, then Loan Letter)
Your address at canada (If you know, otherwise say will search here)

Questions:
Your university name
About your course
Your intention
Your future plans after completing course

But, the people there are very helpful and calm, jst be confident and face them..

No, i dont think they will ask you for any silly docs, and all imp docs you will be carrying with you..

Most probably you can enter a month before, stating that I had to visit my relatives here.. But 15-20 days will be very ok..

I haven't added name of spouse on passport and got my visa on that passport only, will there be any problem at Port of entry due to passport details (as I am married but my passport doesn't have name of spouse) ........... plz reply !!!!
And what abt u when r u flying Huh And How you know about questions asked by

What is your reason for coming to Canada?

You are an Indian passport holder, right..? Then what did you show for your Visa application? The same usually applies at the Immigration check in Canada.

In case we don't have loan letter with us den what will happen? I mean if I want to cancel my loan before going dre...can I show any other proofs?

I went through the immigration last week and I was not asked for any document for prove of funds. I had my loan letter with me but the officer never asked for it.

They wanted to see my :

1. Passport
2. Introduction letter from Visa Officer
3. Acceptance letter from College
4. Immigration form

No other documents were asked. Couple of questions like, what is the name of your school, length of study etc were asked.

See, if you are canceling your loan letter, then for safe side keep some source of funds with you, because it depends and varies from IO to IO, sometime they just ask for it so you should have something relevant to show them.. as chances are low, but why to take risk..
