Hi,

Greetings! I have a question on immigrating to Canada and later the US. Currently, i am an Indian citizen. What I am planning is, immigrate to Canada and become a citizen there. Once after becoming a citizen, I would like to come back to the US on a work permit and later become a citizen. I heard like, it's easy to become US citizen if you are a canadian citizen rather than Indian citizen. Is my understanding correct? Here I am basically focusing on the duration required to become US citizen. As you all know, The wait time for Indian citizens has increased drastically and now it is 10 years. And I am under the assumption that, it's easy to become US citizens if you are Canadian citizen though your birth nation is India.
Please help me to understand this.

Your understanding is incorrect. There's no easy path to US citizenship for Canadians.

It's somewhat easier to get a work permit in the US as a Canadian - but not that much easier.

Getting a US green card (and then US citizenship) is pretty much just as difficult for a Canadian as it is for anyone else.
