Salami alaikum guys I'm new her I just got married sorry for my English I'm morocan got maried to a Muslim Canadian on March 18 I meet him first November he came to Mroco he's from family and he like me and the same thing for me and he comeback January to get engaged for my document we just email it to immigration office in Mississauga 10 April and we are waiting for them to confirm we did put everything he came three times and we spent time together in my house second time we travel to marakech fes and third time we spend a lot of time together marakech Rabat Casablanca like a smal honey moon and we had the picture too the ticket for my filght and his filght I'm so scared Ican't stay without my husband I love him so much I wanna know everybody experience and how long I'd does take wanna congratulat every body that they took thier visa thanks for everybody

wa alikom salam. You said you married Muslim canadian, is he also from moroccan background introduced to you by family? THe reason why I ask is, if he is, than having short relationship of 5-6 months is not a problem, but if he is originally from different nationality and you met on internet the visa officers will have many questions why you married so quickly.
If your husband send all the forms and proof of relationship to Mississauga in April, once he is approved to be your sponsor in Mississauga the file will be sent to the Canadian Consulate in Rabat. Once they have the file you should hear from them in 3-4 months time to come for interview (99% people have interview in Rabat).
My experience was good with Rabat. But we did know each other long time and had many proof of our relationship. I met my husband when I was in Morocco in January 2012, we were engaged in May 2013 (Al-fatiha marriage). We were married on August 1, 2013 (registered) and his parents made big wedding on August 24, 2013. Applied to Mississauga in November, 2013, file was transferred to Rabat in December 2013, my husband was approved for visa after his interview March 25, 2014. Inchallah he will be here next month or early June after he is finished with his exams.

They met in person in Nov 2013, but know each other from March 2013 through family. If good amount of proof was submitted the VO they shouldn't have a problem with the timing as in muslim cultures there is no real "dating". Usually a guy meets a girl, asks his parents to go to her parents to see if they accept him to marry their daughter. alfatiha (religious marriage) is done for the engagement within 1-2 months, and registered marriage follows. All usually done under 6 months.
Congradulations on your mariage and I hope your application for permanent resident goes swimmingly. It takes a long time so you have to be patient and stay positive. There will be many months when you dont here any news from CIC and wonder if they have forgotten all about your file. But in the end it will all work out.
