There is a question near the end of the IMM5490E application form (after question 30) that says:

On a separate sheet of paper, provide any additional details of your current relationship that you believe would help to prove your relationship is genuine and continuing

I have already given so much information in the other questions that I feel like I haven't left anything out...

However, I've read other pages about this question and some have started essays for this question.

I would like to know how others have tackled this question especially applicants who have been successful!! If so I'd really appreciate the help as I'm really indecisive as to what strategy I should adopt to tackle this question.

Thanks :)

As you mentioned, if you already went into extensive detail on the other questions (including needing additional pages for the responses), it's not a requirement to do this step. I personally didn't do it but I was not processed through a particularly stringent VO. What you can always do is to reiterate/summarize the history of your relationship from first introduction to present day, focusing on aspects of your compatability and partnership. Don't forget to include letters of support from family and friends among the more traditional pieces of "relationship evidence."

We used it to submit our photos by making a relationship timeline in Word with 8-9 photos and captions underneath. And we included our rough draft because it had both our handwriting on it. You could tell we'd been together for a long time just by the changes in my hairstyle.
