"Are you currently living with your sponsor? If, no, when did your sponsor return to Canada?"

What if my husband (sponsor) never left Canada. We lived together in Canada while I was on a work permit. At the moment I am back to my home country.
What would the best way to reply this question? He is intending to visit me in few months.. but we are planning to send the application withing next two months. He hasn't been in my home country..ever

It is asking if you are CURRENTLY living with your sponsor. As you are not living with you sponsor, because he is in Canada and you are not, just state this and be sure to explain that you previously lived together in Canada as your sponsor is a Canadian citizen, but you had to return home, which is why you aren't living together currently.

I don't think it matters if you sponsor returned to Canada or not. The question is really designed for relationships where the Canadian citizen is abroad, but this isn't the case with you, so just explain the situation clearly and they'll understand
