IMM5444 question on consent and declaration

Hi,

I am trying to feel out latest IMM5444 for Permanent Residence Card for myself. In this form, Under section " Consent and Declaration", there are several check boxes. However, there are two statements, that I am confused if I should check box or not for them -

1. If this form pertains to a child under the age of 14, I certify that I am the child's parent or legal guardian.
2. I understand the forgoing statements, having asked for and obtained an explanation on every point that was not clear to me.

Can someone please kindly advise, if I should not check these two boxes under Consent and declaration along with others ??

1. If you are only applying for your own PR Card, you would obviously answer NO to question one, right? You are not a child under the age of 14...or are you?! LOL!

2. Answer YES if you understand everything thing else in the application. If you do not understand something, you must get an answer to your question(s) because you cannot answer No to #2
