IMM 5688 (confirmation of permanent resident) Incorrectly filled by CIC France

Hi There!

My spouse and daughter just received the approval from Paris CIC on their permanent resident application in a letter that also include the IMM 5688 (Confirmation of Permanent Resident) form.

BUT.... when we took a look at the IMM 5688 document, we noticed it had attached the photo of my daughter (1 year old) and her personal details as being the principal applicant and confirming her status as permanent resident..... and my spouse being the dependent child!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know if my spouse and daughter should receive each one their own IMM 5688, and if another IMM 5688 may yet still on his way to their address.
Anyone knows if it is supposed to be just one or two IMM 56 88 for the principal applicant and one dependant?

Most important, the airplane ticket is already bought and my spouse is suppose to arrive in 2 weeks........ WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN when she lands and the immigration sees the IMM 5688 information is swapped? Will they send my spouse and daughter back?

Thanks to all that can help us clarify this situation or guide us on what we should do if there is a risk of deportation because this CIC mistake.

I know it sounds risky to you, BUT they were both going to come here in two weeks anyway right? That's exactly what I would do . . . show up as if you didn't notice it yourselves. I doubt very much the CIC would send them back.

If you are time constrained, I would also suggest you take the 'confirmation of permanent residence' document as it is (as though you did not realize the error)

My girlfriend currently trying to sponsor me so I can stay there with her and our son and we wish to do the outland application but we don't understand the difference between the outland documentation and the inland.

You would use all the same documentation (for relationship) for either application. What you need to do it get the proper application package based on how you wish to file. If you want to file an outland application, get this one http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp and then choose the "western europe" link at the bottom of the page to get your country specific information for France. Use this one if you intend to apply inland http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/spouse.asp

I have receive my passport with my immigrant visa in it but I did not receive the imm 5688 form , when or do I download it and take it with me when I am landin in canada

It cannot be downloaded. It should have been sent with your passport. Send an urgent Webform about it.
