Help pls.. In IMM 5532 november 04-2018 version. Regarding the question, " do you have relatives living in Canada?". My Spouse who is the principal applicant has two distant cousins currently living in Canada. They are his mother's nieces to her cousin. So they are basically his 2nd cousins. Are we suppose to include that information?

Definition of "Relative" in IRCC's glossary is

"A person who is related to another person by blood or adoption"
(source)

They are your cousins by blood relation. Therefore, you need to mention them.

If you are not in contact with them, just mention whatever information you have on them and put "unknown" in things you don't know about them and explain it in separate sheet saying you have not had contact for x number of years and have no information on their whereabouts. No issues!

Hi,, does that mean that the inlaws (parents in law and brothers in law) should NOT be listed as relatives in Canada? Many thanks!

According to IRCC's official definition, No.

If it said 'relatives by marriage', then it would have been Yes.
