The name of the form is IMM 5406 Additional Family Information. On all the other immigration forms, 'family members' means only your immediate family, that is your spouse or partner and any children (though there is also another form that asks for your parents' names). On this form, CIC wants info about your additional family, so yes, include your spouse or partner, your parents, your children, and all siblings, even if they are already Canadian or PR, and even if they are not being sponsored by you and never will be.

This is just background information CIC wants. They use it for background checks, and will check the info against other applications made by relatives.
Hi may i know if the son of my husband before we got married is also included in the imm5406 in Section B, children portion? His son is already in canada and a permanent resident already. Please advise. Thank you.

What is the best answer to put in section A no.3 if we have already submitted the application and what type of application we are applying? I know it may sound dumb but just want to be sure. Our documents were returned due to some missing info's. We want to be perfect this time.

It is referring to the current application, which you haven't submitted, so leave it blank.

I placed an N/A. Would that be correct? As per cic's guideline, we should not put any answered items blanck and it is not applicable, we have to put n/a. I don know if its right. Thanks for the reply

I am sorry if i got you confused but what i mean is his date of employment since he is still employed up to this day. What is the best information to put in his employement HISTORY especially in the TO portion (YEAR-MONTH-DATE), the date in his present employement. He was hired last april 15, 2015 up to present. FROM (2015-04-14) TO ( i dont know what date to put here since he is still employed until now and onwards) .

I understood. Put the same date as when you sign the form and IRCC will understand that you are saying he is still employed there.

Ok. What if i put other date like december 31 2017, will the IRCC mistakenly understood that he will be employed up to that date only?

I will be signing it today here in the Philippines as 2017-11-14. I am his principal applicant. My husband is my sponsor. I will send the document to his email though scanned copy so he can also sign rhe the documents too at the sponsor portion. So by the time he will print the form, its already 2017-11-15. What date will i put it? Is it nov 14 where i signed the document first or nov 15 when the time my husband will sign such document?
