Hi, I have a question about the question #10 and #11 in IMM 1344A.
I've become a Canadian citizen in 2002 and used to be a permanent resident from 1993 to 2002.
In this case, do I fill yes for both Canadian citizen and permanent resident in #10?
And do I have to fill in the record of landing/confirmation of permanent residence number in question #11?
I'm having trouble finding that document. If I have lost the paper, how would I obtain that number?
Thank you very much in advance.

1. As soon you became a citizen, you lost your permanent residence. So it is yes for citizen, no for permanent resident.
2. Yes, but it takes about 1-2 months to obtain an new one, and $30.00 http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/canada/process-in.asp#query
3. The document you are looking for is an IMM 1000. Do you have the passport that you were "landed on"? Sometimes the office writes the no. under the "landing" stamp.

Hi PMM,

Thank you very much for such a quick and kind response.
I just need a clarification as I'm a bit confused here.
So, because I've lost my permanent residence, I'm no longer a permanent resident.
Then I don't even need to answer #11 because it says "If you are a permanent resident...", and I'm not a permanent resident.
Is this correct?
Thank you again!

Hi PMM,
Please disregard my previous reply. The question #11 says "If you're a permanent resident or naturalized Canadian citizen.." So I guess I'll have to answer #11, and to do that will have to either find IMM1000 or request for one.
Thank you again.
