Hi everyone...
So my husband and I are living in Calgary, he has a visitor's visa from the US. We mailed in our outland PR application a few weeks ago, are still waiting for the AOR. I decided that we should probably extend his visitor's visa just in case, because it expires in November, and I want to cover our butts in case we don't get the AOR in time. Well, I was filling out the form, and my heart dropped... when I was doing the PR paperwork, there were a few spaces where they asked for his UCI. I didn't think we had one, based on this snippet from the instruction package:
'Indicate your Unique Client Identifier number (UCI) or Client Identification number (Client ID), if known (8-digit number). Otherwise, leave it blank. If this is your first application with CIC you will not have a UCI or a Client ID.'
I figured since it was our first PR application, that he wouldn't have a UCI, so I left it blank. But now, I'm looking more closely at his visitor's visa, and it definitely says 'Client ID' right there. Aaarrrghhh! Is this going to seriously delay processing? There is a copy of his visa in the application, but who knows...
Also, I'm terrified to even ask this question... was I supposed to get all the copies of documents (passport, birth certificate etc.) certified as true copies? I just photocopied them and left it at that D:
I'm feeling like a pretty huge idiot right now.... any help would be greatly appreciated.
Kim
