I'm panicking that I completely screwed up our PR application

Hi everyone...

So my husband and I are living in Calgary, he has a visitor's visa from the US. We mailed in our outland PR application a few weeks ago, are still waiting for the AOR. I decided that we should probably extend his visitor's visa just in case, because it expires in November, and I want to cover our butts in case we don't get the AOR in time. Well, I was filling out the form, and my heart dropped... when I was doing the PR paperwork, there were a few spaces where they asked for his UCI. I didn't think we had one, based on this snippet from the instruction package:

'Indicate your Unique Client Identifier number (UCI) or Client Identification number (Client ID), if known (8-digit number). Otherwise, leave it blank. If this is your first application with CIC you will not have a UCI or a Client ID.'

I figured since it was our first PR application, that he wouldn't have a UCI, so I left it blank. But now, I'm looking more closely at his visitor's visa, and it definitely says 'Client ID' right there. Aaarrrghhh! Is this going to seriously delay processing? There is a copy of his visa in the application, but who knows...

Also, I'm terrified to even ask this question... was I supposed to get all the copies of documents (passport, birth certificate etc.) certified as true copies? I just photocopied them and left it at that D:

I'm feeling like a pretty huge idiot right now.... any help would be greatly appreciated.

Kim

Hi Kim. I am in Calgary too!

1. If you entered his UCI it would have helped CIC look up his file, but it is not a show-stopper. Do not panic!

2. No, as his documents are in English there is no need for certifying them.

Panic over! Good luck!

Ahhhhhh! Thank you! I feel so much better! I put so much effort into that stupid application, and then to think that I had messed it up... ugh.

Thanks again =)

What do you mean by extend just in case AOR doesn't come in time? To clarify, having AOR from the PR app does not give him any status whatsoever in Canada. He must maintain his visitor status separately while his PR app processes.
